Who We Are

Woven are the intercultural communication specialists

Your success is powered by people who are able to understand organisational drivers and cultural complexity from the inside out. Our team brings together specialists from around the world, each contributing unique perspectives and expertise to help your organisation thrive in complex and diverse business environments.

From leadership development to cultural integration, from government relations to strategic planning, from risk management systems to mental health resilience, our own diverse backgrounds allow our clients to access years of multi-faceted experience and real business knowhow. We don't just teach organisational excellence - we live it every day through our own interdisciplinary and multicultural collaboration.

This firsthand understanding of navigating cultural differences – both organisational and global – combined with our proven expertise, means we deliver solutions that work in the real world. Because when it comes to building stronger teams, we believe the best insights come from lived experience.

Woven’s tailored training programs equip leaders to foster open and creative workplaces, promoting psychological safety, boosting productivity, and supporting compliance with work health and safety laws. Through our expert guidance, leaders and teams are empowered to enhance growth, foster inclusivity, wellbeing and compliance.

Woven has guided me in areas of my business that were underdeveloped and what I naively considered lower priority. This guidance, primarily around detailing procedures, policies and business structure has set a foundation allowing my business to realise the potential I could always sense but never quite capture.

Dan Sewell, Tennis Excellence

Our vision is to build a more agile, cohesive & prosperous business community through
customised facilitation, training and coaching

Our Story

Woven was founded by Kate Lorenz with the vision of fostering intercultural unity and leveraging the powerful, often overlooked advantages of diversity. The company, originally known as UIN ("Until It’s Not"), rebranded to Woven in 2024 to symbolise the way diverse cultural and individual threads intertwine to create a stronger collective. This new identity reflects the belief that Australia’s diversity - home to over 300 languages and more than 200 cultural backgrounds - is one of its greatest assets.

With nearly two decades of deep experience across the APAC region, Kate launched Woven to help leaders and organizations navigate the complexities of intercultural dynamics. Growing up in Saudi Arabia, Malawi, and Bahrain, Kate’s unique upbringing provided her with a global perspective that fuels her work today. Her journey in China, where she spent over 22 years co-founding and leading Ark International, a successful relocation and real estate business, gave her profound insights into the intricacies of cross-cultural business operations in one of the world’s most complex markets.

Drawing from her extensive experience in China - one of the fastest-growing economies and a region known for its unique cultural and business environment- Kate shifted her focus toward executive coaching and intercultural training. Woven delivers tailored programs designed to equip leaders and teams with the tools they need to navigate cultural differences, enhance collaboration, and foster innovation. Kate’s in-depth knowledge of the APAC region, particularly China, enables her to guide clients through some of the most challenging intercultural hurdles.

Woven’s mission extends beyond merely bridging cultural gaps; it focuses on unlocking the full potential of diverse teams by embracing individual differences, strengths, and experiences. By fostering greater self-awareness and enhancing intercultural communication, Woven empowers organisations to build resilient, innovative, and cohesive teams that drive long-term success.
